Soludos Sale

Hello everyone! I am back from my long holiday break in Menorca and I feel so relaxed and happy. The weather was amazing! I spent most of my time by the pool and on some of the island's idyllic beaches. When on holiday, what is important for me is wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. I managed to completely wear out my old Birkenstocks and I got two pairs of Menorcan sandals. They are made in Menorca with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship (I will soon prepare a post about these beauties).

I also wanted to get some espadrilles but my suitcase was literally ready to explode and could not fit anything else. However, I can update my wardrobe with a nice pair of  Soludos, that you can now find  in Harrods (Fashion Lab, 4th Floor). Otherwise, you can browse online and take advantage of their online sale! Yeah!!!

Here are some of the styles on sale that I love:

Oxford: The City of Dreaming Spires

The quickly approaching end of May can mean only one thing: a bank holiday! And its the perfect excuse for a mini (or not so mini if you have planned ahead) getaway! Last year, I remember I had organised a mini trip to not so far away, Oxford for my name day. The weather was great (a bit chilly) and the green scenery simply stunning.

A little fact about this city: Oxford is known as "the city of dreaming spires", a term coined by poet Matthew Arnold.

What are your plans for the forthcoming bank holiday? I hope the weather will not be disappointing. I am currently organizing my break (a long one this time) and I will get back to you with photos and ... hopefully a nice tan!

Have a great weekend!!

Rose 31 by Le Labo

I am one of those girls who does not wear a signature fragrance. I am loyal to other things, but when it comes to perfume I am spoiled for choice. It all depends on my mood, the weather, the time of year, what I am wearing and so on... I have recently discovered Le Labo and I cannot get enough of Rose 31. If I ever would have 1, this is a strong candidate for sure.

I recently visited Le Labo in 28A Devonshire Street and I had the bottle engraved with my name so as to give it a more personal touch. They made the perfume right in front of me and I chose the travel tube so that it is easy to carry in my bag. It smells divine! Go have a look and tell me what you think :-)

Have a great weekend!!

Get on your Bike

Now that the weather is getting warmer, what a great idea it is to go around the city on a bike. I personally prefer the Santander Cycles self-service, which is amazing for short journeys. You can hire a bike for as little as £2 (or you can opt for a yearly membership). Simply go to any docking station (there are plenty!!) with your bank card and touch the screen to get started.

You can download the Santander Cycles app on your phone, which makes cycling so much easier and fun. This app gives you a bike release code so you can skip straight past the terminal to the docking point. You can download the app from the App Store

Have a great day and happy cycling!!

At Kyoto Garden

Yesterday the weather was fabulous and I had to take advantage of this rare situation. Holland Park is a short bus drive away and I had on my mind a visit to the peaceful Kyoto Garden for a long time now. Here you can find a tiny pocket of Japan inside an English setting. The sun was shining on this cute, little oasis of tranquillity within the park and this made me so happy and gave me a bit of a tan :-)

The garden was a gift from the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of the Japan festival held in London in 1992. Designed by a Japanese garden designer, this section of the park is exceptionally well maintained, with waterfalls and a pond, in which you can spot bright orange fish (koi carp).

The time passed in Kyoto garden had a restorative effect to my spirit. It is the perfect spot in the city to read a book or just spend some time with a loved one.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone and Happy 1st May! I know the weather is a bit of a challenge here in London but I have a feeling that summer is on its way :-)

I visited Kingston upon Thames yesterday and how beautiful it was having lunch by the river, taking in all the green and sun around (until it started raining and we all rushed inside the restaurant).

Here is a photo that my boyfriend took of the cute swans cosying up to form a perfect heart. Che romantico!

I love the sun!
I hope you are all enjoying this Bank Holiday weekend :)

Have a great Sunday!!
