Al Santo Deli

In my previous life (or in a future one, who knows?) I must have been Italian with a pretty good accent as a certain someone is mocking me about my accent at the moment (he can't really mean it though, he must be pulling my leg!!).

Last time I went out with a friend, I picked a cute, little restaurant in Fulham as I wanted something cosy, warm and colorful for us to chill, enjoy lunch and catch up on our news. Al Santo, tucked in on 23 Vanston Place delivers in every aspect. It certainly gets top marks for its eclectic decor, friendly staff and delicious food, which is a blend of Italian and Greek delicacies (my favorite combination!).

I love unique places with delightfully cluttered interiors, generous splashes of colour accompanied with unpretentious smiles. This makes you feel much like home and urges you to visit again and again.

I want feta cheese on every dish, is it possible?
Such a generous and strong cup of coffee. Al Santo you rock!
Have a great weekend everyone!! Eat well, laugh loudly and be kind :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all in a great mood to enjoy your weekend and feeling very much in love with everything and everyone!!

I would like to wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day with one of my favorite poems:

"It was a quiet way
He asked if I was his
I made no answer of the tongue
But answer of the eyes
And then he bore me on
Before this mortal noise
With swiftness, as of Chariots
and distance, as of Wheels.
This World did drop away
As acres from the feet
of one that leaneth from Balloon
Upon an Ether Street.
The Gulf behind was not,
The Continents were new
Eternity was due.
No Seasons were to us
It was not Night nor Morn
But Sunrise stopped upon the place
And Fastened in Dawn"

Emily Dickinson, The Complete Poems.

Have a lovey day filled with love, smiles and a bit of chocolate ;-)

Whistles - Resort 2015

One of my favourite British brands is Whistles. I love the colours that they implement on each collection and the laid back fitting of their clothes. Sometimes loose and some others a bit on the fitted side. Here I will show you some of the pieces that caught my eye from the Resort 2015 collection:

Ramona Botanical Asymmetric Dress
Kikki Shaped Hem Sweater
Jasmino Bonded Lace Bra
Klara Linen Checked Bomber
I am loving the neutral palette of this collection which is focusing around the colour blue with highlights of yellow and oversized check. Overall, the perfect pieces to refresh your wardrobe and spur the new you in time for the welcoming of spring!!

Have a great day!!

I See Snow...

Hello everyone! I hope you are holding up quite well with this cold and no one is having a runny nose or a tickly cough ;-) It was so amazing waking up on Tuesday morning and glimpsing at some snow from my wondow.  Apparently it was a very cold Monday night and the snow was unavoidable. It did not last long, but it was definitely a lovely scenery to wake up to.

Have an awesome weekend!!

Ham Yard Hotel

I love visiting new places and if I fancy something enough I will always go back. Yeah, I am a loyal kinda gal :-). This happened when I first visited The Ham Yard Hotel, a new boutique hotel in the middle of my beloved Soho and moments away from Mayfair. The hotel revolves around a tree filled garden with a bronze sculpture centerpiece by Tony Cragg.

Alongside the hotel's 91 individually designed bedrooms and suites are 24 apartments, 13 independent stores, a restaurant and bar with outdoor dining. There is a drawing room, a library, a spa, a gym, a theatre, private event rooms and a 1950's style bowling alley. A hotel that respects itself always has a rooftop garden and the Ham Yard Hotel could not be an exception to this rule. Its rooftop is amazing, offering stunning views of the Soho skyline.

Last time I visited the hotel was a few months ago and I sat with my friends for a nice cocktail at the Bar. It was a busy Saturday evening but the service we received was impecable. A table was available for us in a matter of a few mitutes. I was rather impressed!!

If you have not discovered yet this little gem tucked in a quite little street in Soho, get your phone's street finder app out and pay it a visit.

Have an awesome Sunday!!

Today I will do this thing that Italians call "Dolce far Niente".
