Happy New Year 2014

Since the old calendar is getting changed and the sun of the old year sets down for a new sunrise, let this year take away all the pain and unhappiness that you may have in your life and shower you with love, peace, health, joy and abundance of new friends.

In this year to come all I am asking is for a sun to give me warmth, a moon to show me charm, an angel to give me protection and someone to share all my feelings. One resolution I have made is this: To rise above the little things.

Happy New Year!
Καλή Χρονιά!
Frohes Neues Jahr!
Bonne Année!
С Новым Годом!
Felice Anno Nuovo!
Feliz Año Nuevo!

Cara Delevingne and friends for La Perla

The "it" girl of the moment, Cara Delevingne, fronts the Spring/Summer 2014 La Perla campaign sharing the limelight with fellow models Liu Wen and Malgosia Bela. The campaign is photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (the duo behind Lady Gaga's Versace campaign) with styling by Ludivine Poiblanc.

Paisley Body
Malgosia is pictured in the sumptuous Heritage corset, Liu in a transparent body covered by some delicate paisley embelishments and Cara, who appears twice, wears both the Sparkling Jasmine black lingerie set with a silk shrug and a stunning, white underwired swimsuit.

Vogue on Coco Chanel

Last Sunday I met up with my lovely ladies from work and we enjoyed an amazing evening at the Bluebird in Chelsea as you might have read. My Secret Santa was my friend Manveen and the present she got for me was simply amazing!

I had figured out that it was a book, but did not know which one...
Tah  Tah!!
After slowly slowly unwrapping my present (I have some respect for the paper, I cannot destroy it completely!) a sweet revelation came before my very eyes: "Vogue on Coco Chanel" by Bronwyn Cosgrave (and the interesting fact is that I really wanted to get this book).

Vogue on designers is a new series of fashion books from British Vogue which tell the fascinating stories of iconic designers accompanied by world-class photographs and illustrations from the Vogue archive.

I have placed the book right next to my bed for some much needed company during these evenings that you want to read something nice just before you let yourself fall into deep sleep and dream of sweet dreams....

I will share with you some great photos from the book in a future post, but now I will simply finish with one of my favorite Chanel quotes:

"Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman."

Have a fabulous day!

Boxing Day

On Boxing Day I had to say farewell to Hilton London Tower Bridge Hotel and dash off to Knightsbridge for work. Before leaving, I enjoyed one last breakfast and since it was quite early in the morning, the breakfast room was quiet and peaceful. Exactly how I like it!

Coffee, Pastries and the Times
Even while having breakfast, the Harrods sale is haunting me ...

The Shard
On my way to the tube, I caught a glimpse of The Shard and that put an extra smile on my face. As soon as I reached Knightsbridge, I witnessed hundreds of people queuing outside Harrods and patiently waiting for the Winter Sale to kick off in all its glory. In the meantime, 50 butlers were providing cosy blankets and serving delicious Michelin-star canapes, and there was a spellbinding performance from renowned magician, Dynamo. That was quite a treat! Let me know if anyone of you visited Harrods on the 26th and how was your shopping experience.

Have a fabulous day!

At The Hilton London Tower Bridge Hotel

I simply love staying at hotels and I had such a fantastic time spending Christmas at the Hilton London Tower Bridge Hotel with great company. The lovely guys at the reception checked us in at the very early hours of Christmas day and a comfortable room up on the eighth floor was waiting for us. I managed to sleep just four hours, before I get up and get myself ready for breakfast. The bed was so comfortable and I was feeling so rested. Well, my company did not think the same but we simply could not miss breakfast.

I had a morning shower using these lovely products by Peter Thomas Roth and got ready really quickly as my desire for a strong coffee was pulling me to the breakfast room like a magnet!

Breakfast was served at The Larder Restaurant and the staff were ever so friendly and attentive. For me breakfast was black coffee (no milk - thank you!), croissant (that later became croissants), fruits, yogurt and the NY Times just so I could have a quick read and find out what's shaking in this world that we live in.

We spent our afternoon walking by the bridge and once it started getting cold we found shelter at the hotel. Later on, we went to the Hotel's Executive Lounge for some chilling time having drinks and canapes.

Baileys with ice
After having oh so much to eat and drink, I returned to the room for some much needed relaxation. The next day was work day for me and I wanted to make sure that I had everything ready. Thankfully, this year there was no tube strike and getting around London on Boxing Day was a lot easier.

I put on my bathrobe and after enjoying a hot shower, I watched Michael Jackson's "This Is It" documentary.

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas! And here is a little piece of advice for the new year to come: Forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead!

'Tis The Season!

Hello everyone! I hope you had a lovely Christmas with tons of  fun. I just got home after my little Christmas break. There was no travelling involved but I had such an amazing time while attending a Christmas party at a friend's house. The night involved: lots of delicious, homemade food, nice music, Christmas crackers and of course lovely company!

My friend's stuffed chicken was muy delicioso!!!
No luck with the Christmas cracker :-(
Now you see me....
.. and now you don't!
Cheesecakes from Harrods
I also got a chance to try new things: Aguardiente and Salsa dancing (believe it or not I lasted for a whole song!).

Tequila time x 13!

After our little Christmas party was over, I went to the Hilton London Tower Bridge Hotel where I stayed for two nights and had so much fun (photos to follow)!

Christmas Dinner At Bluebird Chelsea

I love Christmas dinners in nice, cosy places where the food keeps coming, jokes and laughts are floating in the air and I am having a good time where this little head of mine is worries free. I met up with my colleagues at Bluebird in Chelsea last  night and we had so much fun. Two giant trees were beautifully decorated outside the restaurant, the ice ring looked stunning and everything was so festive.

We went to the first floor, checked our coats at the cloakroom and ordered some cocktails. My cocktail for the night was: paradise mojito!

Beautiful chocolate treats wrapped and given to us by Maria

Bluebird Burger, fries and miniature ketchup
Bread and Butter
Paradise Mojito
I ordered wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil and parmegiano reggiano

Delicious & Fruity Cheesecake
Creme Brulee
It was a wonderful night with delicious food, great chat, presents and Christmas cards! I hope you are all having a wonderful time whatever you do, wherever you are!

Secret Santa knew exactly what I wanted: The"Vogue on Chanel " book
Fierce ladies: Irina,  Maria, Manveen et moi
Rocking around the Christmas Tree: Irina, Manveen, Maria, Me, Canan and Carys
I will be gone for the next few days but I will soon be back! Hope you all had been nice this year so that Santa treats you well!

Merry Christmas!!!
