4 Years of YouTube: Choosing the Slow Path in a Fast World
Four years ago, I pressed upload for the very first time. I didn't have a grand master plan; I simply wanted a quiet corner of the internet to document the simple, slow things in life. I hoped that by sharing my own daily rhythms, a few people out there might find a moment of peace, relax, and enjoy watching.
Today, looking back at that milestone, my heart is completely full of gratitude. But if I am being entirely transparent with you, this journey has not been easy.
Balancing a demanding, full-time corporate career while consistently pouring my remaining energy into creating intentional content has tested my limits. There have been countless evenings of exhaustion, moments of deep creative doubt, and weeks where finding the equilibrium between my 9-5 and my passion felt nearly impossible.
Yet, through every season of burnout and hesitation, a quiet determination has kept me grounded.
Building a Sanctuary
I quickly realized that this channel couldn't just be about documenting life—it had to be about protecting it. In a world that constantly demands more, faster, and louder, leaning into the quiet, slow moments became my personal way to recharge.
My determination hasn't been about chasing numbers or forcing a grueling production schedule that steals my peace. Instead, it has been a commitment to building something truly meaningful out of this journey: a gentle sanctuary. A space where we can collective take a breath, appreciate the warmth of a morning coffee, and romanticize the ordinary transitions of our week.
Thank You for Holding Space With Me
To every single person who has clicked on a video, left a thoughtful comment, or simply sat quietly with me through a vlog—thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have embraced my "go with the flow" approach to these diaries, and your presence means more to me than words can ever fully express.
We are navigating this beautifully busy life together, and knowing that these videos bring a little bit of tranquility to your day is exactly what keeps me showing up.
Four years in, and I am more determined than ever to keep cultivating this space, guarding our boundaries, and welcoming the new seasons ahead with an open heart. Here’s to continuing to protect our peace, together. 🤍
With love and light,
