Introvert Diaries: I Stopped Chasing and Started Living
There is a specific kind of quiet that you can only find at home.
Last month, we packed our bags and traveled back to Greece. But this wasn’t a trip for a busy holiday, packed with crowded itineraries and endless rushing. Instead, it was an escape into the luxury of slow days.
Lately, I’ve realized how deeply I needed to trade the constant rush of life for the beauty of simple, everyday moments. To see family. To just sit with friends. To remember what it actually feels like when the only thing on your agenda is watching the coffee brew.
These are my diaries from a few quiet days at home.
Grounding Rituals and Impromptu Travels
This little trip was entirely impromptu—booked roughly two weeks before we flew after K found some reasonable flights. It felt like the perfect timing, especially since we won't be going away anywhere else for the summer.
There is something so special about waking up and feeling completely spoilt and cozy at home. For me, morning rituals are non-negotiable grounding practices. No matter where I am in the world, starting the day with a hot cup of Greek coffee and a slice of tsoureki or fresh koulouria from the local bakery makes everything feel right.
I even managed to carve out a tiny, cozy corner in our room just for myself—adorned with fresh roses from the garden—where I could sit peacefully, sip my coffee, and work on my YouTube channel. Witnessing our little community grow is something I am endlessly grateful for.
Savoring the Moments and Small Wins
Our days unfolded gently. We spent afternoons going for a classic volta (walk) with my sister and nieces, catching up over massive plates of club sandwiches and waffles, and just holding hands, enjoying each other’s presence.
Before leaving for Greece, I received some incredible news—I got accepted into the Clarins community! I’m so thrilled and grateful for these opportunities, and I always remind myself to pause and celebrate these small wins in my content creation journey. While on holiday, I made sure to indulge in a mindful skincare routine, using some of my absolute favorites like the Abib Heartleaf spot pads (which thankfully traveled relatively well in my bag, even with a tiny spill!).
We also took a slow drive down to Athens to spend a few days with K’s parents. The journey itself was beautiful—I love nothing more than just gazing out at the sea; it brings an immediate sense of calm over me. We spent our evenings catching up with old friends, enjoying fresh fish straight from the fishmonger, and romanticizing the quiet spaces around us.
On our last morning, I found myself back in my favorite spot on the balcony, looking out at the beautiful church dome under the clear sky, and I started reading the book I borrowed from my in-laws' library. It was the perfect, serene ending to a much-needed trip.
I hope you enjoy the vlog. I’ve also listed all my personal discount codes for the brands I love in the video description box if you'd like to check them out.
Tell me in the comments below—do you have any slow summer plans? How are you romanticizing your quiet moments this week?
With love and light,
