a quiet january reading wrap up ☁️ | introvert diaries
Date: January 2026
Hi friends,
January has been a month of slow mornings, steaming cups of coffee, and getting lost in some truly remarkable stories. As part of my introvert diaries series, I’ve been focusing on intentionality—not just in how I spend my time, but in what I’m feeding my mind.
I managed to finish 7 books this month, ranging from life-changing non-fiction to some of the most moving memoirs I’ve ever read.

The January Reading List 📖
If you’re looking for your next read, here is the breakdown of what kept me company this month:
Atomic Habits by James Clear: A classic for a reason. It’s been the perfect companion for resetting my routines this year.
Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre: This was a heavy, incredibly impactful read. It’s a story that stays with you long after the final page.
Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa: If you need a "hug in a book," this is it. So gentle and beautifully written.
The Lantern of Lost Memories by Sanaka Hiiragi: A magical, cozy Japanese fiction find.
The Details by Ia Genberg: Sharp, poetic, and very relatable.
Evenings and Weekends by Oisín Fagan: A vivid, chaotic, and immersive journey.
The Secret of Secrets: A deep dive into some truly fascinating philosophy.
My "Introvert Diaries" Pick of the Month
If I had to recommend just one, it would be Sweet Bean Paste. It fits the "slow living" aesthetic perfectly and reminded me to find beauty in the small, everyday things.
What have you been reading lately? I’m already starting to plan my February TBR (To-Be-Read) list and would love your recommendations in the comments!
Stay cozy,
Helen ♡
