Good People at the Noel Coward Theatre

Last Wednesday, I hit the theatre yet again and the play that I watched was so enjoyable. Olivier Award-winner, Imelda Staunton is shining as a single mum Margie in David Lindsay-Abaire's play, Good People which has been transferred to the Noel Coward Theatre after a sell out run at the Hampstead Theatre. She stars opposite Lloyd Owen in this production directed by Jonathan Kent.

Life isn't easy when you live on wrong side of the tracks in Boston, as Margie discovers trying to raise her disable child on a meagre salary. When she loses yet another job, she turns to an unlikely figure from her past, determined to do whatever it takes to take care of her family.

Produced by Old Vic Productions and Hampstead Theatre, Good People tackles tough issues of class and economics in America with tenderness and a dash of humour thrown in for good measure too. A play not to be missed!

Enjoying a strong macchiato before the play...
